The new generation of Maybach was introduced in 2015 as a sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz much in the same way as “AMG” but with a focus on ultra luxury and refinement. By strengthening and lengthening the S-Class’s body the Mercedes-Maybach S650 has a uniquely spacious rear cabin in order to provide maximum relaxation for it’s passengers. This is further accentuated by the First Class Cabin option in which reclining seats with massage and ventilation deliver further luxury and who can forget the rear refrigerator and embedded champagne flutes that Maybach’s are almost notorious for.

The sumptuous V12 provides plenty of power but it’s the smoothness of it’s delivery which Maybach owners will truly appreciate. Combine this with electronic acoustic deadening, improved door sealing and special foam filled tyres to reduce road noise Mercedes claimed at the time of release that it was the quietest saloon car on the market. There is a strong argument to say the Mercedes-Maybach S650 might just be the definitive luxury car.
